Weekly Support Groups
People Living with Cancer Support Groups
Every Monday 6pm & 7:15pm
Every Tuesday 6pm
Adult group members with different types of cancer come together each week to get support and learn from each other. People in active treatment, who have recently completed treatment or are having treatment-related side effects up to two years after treatment ends are welcome. A pre-group meeting with one of our clinical staff members is required prior to joining the weekly support groups. Schedule with Jen Sinclair, Program Director, at 610.861.7555.
Family/Caregiver Support Groups
Every Monday 7pm
Care partners find new ways to address stress while supporting a loved one living with cancer. This group meets weekly and requires a pre-group meeting with one of our clinical staff members is required prior to joining. Schedule with Jen Sinclair, Program Director, at 610.861.7555.
Monthly Support Groups
In a safe space, connect with others with the same kind of cancer or similar concerns. Discuss treatments, treatment responses, stress management, problem solving, and communicating with family and healthcare teams.
Breast Cancer Networking Group
Funded by the Women’s 5K Classic
1st Monday of month, 12 pm
This group will help breast cancer survivors understand emotional reactions common to their diagnosis. We will talk about different tools to use for managing stress and emotional reactions, problem solving, improving communication with family and the health care team, improving self-esteem and creating balance in life.
Thyroid Cancer
2nd Wednesday of month, 6pm
Carbon County Cancer Support Group
4th Thursday of month, 3:00pm
All cancer types are welcome. Location: Perfect Balance Boutique, 170 South 3rd St., Lehighton, PA.
Pancreatic Cancer Support Group
Funded by the Pancreatic Cancer Hope Foundation
4th Tuesday of month, 10:00am
This group addresses the unique needs and concerns of people affected by pancreatic cancer. Find support and information by meeting others who share your experiences. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Sponsored by the Pancreatic Cancer Hope Foundation.
Prostate Cancer Support Group
1st Tuesday of month, 7pm
This group addresses the unique needs and concerns of people affected by prostate cancer. Find support and information by meeting others who share your experiences.
Carbon County Caregiver Support Group
2nd Wednesday of month, 6 pm
Care partners find new ways to address stress while supporting a loved one living with cancer. This group will connect caregivers in Carbon county and provide practical tips to help cope with the social and emotional challenges of being a caregiver. Location: SLUHN Carbon, 500 St. Luke’s Drive, Lehighton, PA
Creating & Maintaining Your New Normal
2nd & 4th Thursdays of month, 12 pm
In this open discussion, we’ll address themes about making healthy lifestyle choices, strengthening emotional resilience, regaining a sense of self, and building a support community.
